Names of Cultivation Stages

Leave them as they are, if someone can't even keep track of this because of the names of the stages, they might as well read it all again. It's been quite simply and slowly explained so if people fail to keep up with it, they basically haven't done a good enough job reading the novel properly as this is not a novel that we are meant to rush through.

i thought at first it´s better to leave it because we have already read 150 chapters like this but we still have at least 1k chapters before us so who cares about that argument and i really have no idea what it means i think right now it doesn´t matter much that we don´t know but maybe later and espiacial when it comes to why the guys on the same path as WL (forgott the them) "can´t" (who knows maybe he can:D ) advance...and then we stand there pretty useless and have to seach and so on....

i like the change the original is confusing enough reason i say this is because i need to know what each word means/represent i dont like half answers just for reference i did read xian ni before issth.

It should be left how it is. For those who read ISSTH, this is diferent novel so shut it(i also read ISSTH, but prefer original terms). Coz we had those terms since begeining of Xian Ni we got acustumed to it and i think i speak for more ppl that it will be better to leave it as it is. For those who disagree go read glosary so u can see ranking of cultivation this aspect is the same as ISSTH, ocz u need aswell read ranking of cultivation only difference is that one is in chinese and other is in english. And i must say i remember better yuan ying, jie dan etc.

    What adi said.

Just keep the same terms and make a clear table of the progression scheme for cultivators.

Yeah I would like the change. I'm kind of always at a loss of actually understanding where his development is actually at. It would help make reading even more enjoyable for me. If not I keep doing what IU am doing to understand, but I would like to see it change.

    keep chinese terms!
I'm totally used to them after 147 chaptes...^^

I already understand the xian ni terms, but I don't care either way, so I didn't vote.

How about at least putting a note the first few times they appear as to what the ISSTH translations are? It wasn't until I read ISSTH that I understood what the terms meant. In particular, "yuang ying" (not just the stage, but also as in "yuan ying essence") is used significantly, and it REALLY detracts from the story if you don't know what it means, and Xian Ni does a shit job of explaining it.

Keep as is. Too far in. So accustomed to them they seem appropriate, even if the rest is in English and these are still Chinese. I consider it as actually enhancing the read because it actually came from Chinese.

let them be as it is, they will b unique to Xian Ni, y to make confusing to people reading both by getting their thoughts mixed up. just add table r something a bit frequent to tell the levels who r unable to know Wat stage MC is, oh BTW i ain't Chinese and dont know anything other than numbers in Chinese, so plz don't think i`m supporting this choice of keeping as it is , by thinking that i know Chinese ;P

At this point it would be better to leave the names as they are. I agree that it would have been better to have the names as in ISSTH, but the LN has progressed so much that it would now just be confusing to current readers to change them again and would be very annoying.
TL;DR name change is only going to be non-confusing to newer readers.

  • xzx_ - 9 years ago

I prefer them as n ISSTH and here is why :
Because I can fucking understand at what level the MC is. Not smth like the messed up bullshit in Stellar transformation (one of the reasons I gave up reading further).
Xian Ni is enganging story ,but I'd like to have those terms translated properly not as you read you encounter some complete nonsense words.
