Do you think reinstating the full spring bear hunt is the best way to deal with nuisance bears?

Killing is not the answer...education is. People need to learn to keep their homes free from anything that will attract any wildlife. I agree with Carole Currie, I have wildlife on my property on a regular basis. They have nothing here that makes them a danger or a nuisance.

The spring bear hunt is barbaric. Leaving orphaned Cubs to starve to death without a mother. What kind of a society are we if we allow this to happen?

The cancellation of the spring bear hunt was done without any study or consultation. Our experience in Sudbury is that there have been a greater number of interactions with bears since then. Lack of food has contributed to the problem. Now the MNR due to cutbacks seems unable to deal with the increasing number of bears drawn to urban areas.

we live in a rural area that has a large amount of wildlife, include dis black bears, we see them regularly as they cross our property, with and without Cubs. We have never had any damage, except the composer ever couple of years. We never keep garbage, everything is recycled ,garbage food is frozen until we can get rid of it. Please don't kill bears without very good reason, it breaks my heart to know that Cubs are orphaned. Thank you.
