Reservation policy so far achieved Caste Basis vote banks in stead of enhancing moral values among the beneficiaries. Only the beneficiaries among the so called SCs/STs/OBCs so far reaped the benefits and thus getting socially and financially improved are getting the benefits time and again for more than three generations. The downtrodden of the the said societies are yet to fight to get their due share from their own socially and financially benefited societies by Reservation Policy.
It is the high time that the Government must rethink of the Reservation Policy which was continued for more than 6 decades, if not they have to make provisions of the financially backwards of the other communities/castes.

We should ask this single question to Hardik Patel. If patidars( most affluent in Gujarat) should get reservation, the who should NOT get reservation? Then give reservation to Brahmins, baniyas, muslims, christians...include every caste and religion in OBC. WIll Hardik say, and prove that All brahmins, muslims, christians and not backward and hence they should not get reservation ? He will have no answer, because he is playing PLAIN POLITICS.

I think there should be reservation in flights,cricket,insurance policies,shopping malls,cars,cash back offers,credit cards,loans,road lanes and every damm thing.

All fabulously rich and affluent Patel community living abroad should be asked to compensate for the loss of property due to their agitation in Gujarat and they should take the responsibility to "fund" economically poor Patels in Gujarat for the next six decades!

This Chaos only reflects the brewing disharmony that has been bottled within people of Gujarat for the past 12-14 years by a cover of hype and media censorship. If there was truly any development in Gujarat - then there would be enough work for all that nobody would require reservations or express agitation - This chaos only shows how Modi as a CM covered-up all shortfalls in Gujarat. This agitation only proves that democracy prevails and dictatorial attitude eventually will fall - I hope the people of Bihar realise that actually there was and there is Jungle Raj in Gujarat and they don't elect BJP to power in Bihar. BJP Govt and Pm should understand India is not Gujarat and all are not Gujaratis and Congress should note that its days are over and nobody will elect them any more.

The way things are going, Every cast requires reservation for its poor people irrespective of Caste.
Caste based reservation has failed to fulfill the real objective of empowering underprivileged people because only handful people are benefitting generation after generation while the poor remains poor
in those communities also.These superrich people have clung to reservation and are not ready to
make way for other poor people in there own communities.They are not satisfied with one time reservation also. In promotions also they want reservation. That is the reason even after sixty odd years reservation policy remains. Politicians have done great damage to merit

There should not be caste base reservations anymore. In every caste, there are rich as well as poor people. So, government should take proper action towards this, by bringing reservations based on one's own income. Otherwise, tomorrow some other caste come into picture to make them under OBC category. this struggle will goes further, then everybody will say we are backward.

quota or reservation should be only for the needed ones and not for the entire cast or community. Govt should come up with simple rules like if your father is earning more than X amount or if he is a Tax payer his family is not eligible for any quote or reservation.
There are so many people who are really poor and can't even take care kids educations but because they are from upper cast they are deprived from all these benefits.
also I know many people they go and take fake Cate certificates because of these benefits. I know few of my classmates who have done this to get engineering admission despite less marks than me.
I am a Tax Payer and I am not at all interested in Paying my hard money for these casts or people. If these politicians are really interested they can contribute from there ASSETS and there other benefits.
We middle class people have already enough burden in terms of Taxes on our shoulders and
no benefits from govt. for salaried middle class people.

It was decided by the anti-national anti-Hindu Congress to phuck the country into oblivion beginning 1947 and they devised dividing the country on caste & linguistic lines. Patels are only taking this forward. There is no reason when everybody is given a piece of the Cake why should they be denied of the same. Leaving out the percentage of Brahmins divide the remaining amongst everybody as per their population percentage. And make the remaining Brahmin percentage open to all under the general quota. That way you will be hurting the Brahmins real hard and it would perhaps encourage them to seek asylum in greener pastures of the West where they can sustain themselves based on their brain power or those who cannot commit mass-suicide. In one stroke you will be bringing about Social Justice -- if at all you can sustain it for long!
