I felt that this movie displayed a very real version of how people acted back in this era focusing mainly on the wealthy, shedding a little light on the people who were not as well to do during that time frame. Clearly a comedy this movie I could see being slightly vulgar for the people of this time; being as how people then were not as jaded or desensitized to alcohol and sexual gestures. This also sheds light on something that people of this era would have been shocked to see and that is simply how much money the man was willing to pay, without thinking, in order to keep his reputation in tact.
