Open carry to normalize the sight of a lawfully armed citizen going about their daily activities. Lots of opportunities to educate about gun laws (both open and discrete carry) and to pass out business cards with gun rights/laws info and contacts to gun rights organizations.

Co-host a weekly breakfast and monthly dinner for open carry and other gun rights advocates. Locations for both are variable and chosen among other reasons because of opportunity to expose people to the sight of lawfully armed citizens going about their daily activities. We meet a lot of folks that tell us they have their Concealed Handgun Permit but admit they leave it at home "unless I think I'll need it". We also get a lot of folks saying they are glad to see us carrying because if anything bad happens we will protect them. (If only they knew the truth.)

    stay safe.

I used to blog and participate in lots of online discussions, and write letters to the editor. Got burned out. Now I just own guns and remind anyone who invites discussion that a right is something not open to ANY legislative restrictions. That means that every single one of the 20,000 gun laws is illegal on its face. No discussion possible.

I'm a certified handgun and self defense instructor, serving as Chief RSO for my gun club, among other efforts. I carry a gun, mostly openly, all the time, everywhere I go. Few people seem to even notice here, but I hand out cards to anyone who asks about it.

I wrote a small book called "I Am NOT A Victim" and the first chapter is the story of the man I had to shoot to save my life. This page at my own blog tells that story, and gives simple directions for anyone to obtain the e-book free of charge. http://www.thepriceofliberty.org/?page_id=846

I help train people in two twelve week course sessions (beginner, intermedient, advanced) a year in the Modern Technique of the Handgun along with other courses in tactical and precision rifle.

I follow and contribute to many different pro gun rights organizations and participate in different gun related forums.

I didn’t know how to answer because I am not sure of the phrase’s “Open resistance to bad gun laws” meaning. I openly speak my mind to others about the various encroachments of both State and Federal Governments and have no trouble expressing that to them but I do my best not to break the law. I know it is becoming extremely difficult to abide the abusive and oppressing laws our legislators are imposing on us, but living in California as I do…..well lets just say, it might as well be Alice in Wonderland because these people are crazy and there are two population centers that keep them in power.

Anyway sorry for the rant but I’ll tell you TPZ helps to keep me juiced and helps to arm me in the intellectual argument. I am glade you are here.
