Do you agree with the TGA that codeine products should be made prescription only?
Yes – too many people are being harmed by OTC codeine products. Medical supervision is required.
Maybe – misuse of codeine is an issue but making it script only will be another barrier to patients who legitimately need it.
No – many people use OTC codeine safely and they should not be forced to obtain a script, given the few that misuse it.
