On-campus signs for pedestrians are definitely better than they used to be, and there are more maps around campus which do help people to find their way around. However I do think signs for drivers need to be better - simple, effective, uncluttered and appropriately placed. I realize estates want to keep all signs fairly low-level (say, no higher than 1 metre) but that is useless if you are new to the campus and you are driving! A few appropriately located signs which are suitable for drivers at the start of the campus would be useful.
