Issues we face where the gov has control:

    1. Media bias.
    2. Lying numbers. (False pools, misquoted/misused statistics etc.)
    3. Communications. (Come a crunch J.Q. Public will not have Internet, cell phones, or even snail mail)

of course, I have also committed to saying not just no, but hell no. Molon Labe. I know, cliche, but true

I think that false flag events such as the current "armed militia" scenario in south central Oregon is an example of the overt attempts to disarm the American People.

Like Mama Liberty I am done backing up. My response to any and all attenpts to disarm me is "NO! Your Move."
(I am an older military veteran who has nothing left to lose. One of the "dangerous old men" of our American revolutionary times repute.

    Stay Safe

The response of individuals is the most important part of this. If people accept the "authority" of the government/president to control them and their property, complying and even "turning in" their neighbors, the confiscations will begin.

If, however, even a small fraction of gun owners and those who want individual liberty choose to resist, not comply, and even physically defend themselves and their property... then the government will have a choice between backing down or starting a real shooting war. Hope for rational action from the District of Criminals, or their counterparts in many or all states... not likely.

I have no wish to start anything, but I'll do my best to defend myself. I will not comply.

I also expect manipulation of the voting process for purposes of stuffing legislatures with other anti-gun traitors. Letting non-citizens (including green cards as 'citizens' here) vote is one manipulation, but there are other ways. Fudging results of a 'referendum on gun control' is another.

None of the options are bizarre or ‘over the top’. Any could realistically be chosen but the tough part is which would be most effective in eliminating guns from society. Obama has said that we(he) needs to change the way people think about guns. If he accomplishes that he may be able to confiscate our guns. Did you choose an option that can significantly contributes to a change in the way people think about guns? The new way must be able to be believable, logical, scientifically base and rational. Think about how you would get someone to change their mind.

incrementalism is what works for almost everything that has changed in America in the last 50 plus years. Think of how we thought about marijuana as a society 50 years ago, or homosexuality, or abortion issues, or any one of a number of social issues. The one thing they have in common is that people did not change their view about them over night. The leaders of the movements were patient, and took their small victories when and where they could.
This is the thing we should guard against, not just the big changes. We have to be on guard on all fronts.
