COREY COLEMAN WR - BAYLOR. 20 touchdowns last year 4.37 40 It's Vincent jacksons last year & we have no depth & jameis needs a true deep threat & help Doug Martin out

I think Hargreaves at number 9 is a little high for a player that is mostly viewed as a slot corner. I think the best pick at 9 is Lawson, or maybe a WR as we've had problems keeping ours heathy. And oh yea Evens had the most drops in the nfl last season. My 3 round mock draft would be, DE Lawson 1st, DB K Joesph/ V Bell 2nd, and DE Carl Nassib in the third round. The FSU kicker in the fourth round would be a nice addition if he is still available at that point.

I've read all the previous comments, most of them good. However, the clear and obvious need is SOMEBODY to stop the slant!! If that is Hargraves , great, else get somebody else.
Opponents must have run the slant against us 100 times or more and anytime we stopped it seemed like a miracle.

Trade 9 to jets for Wilkerson. Then trade Glennon for Denver's 1st or 2nd round. But if not... Go get Ramsey.

  • Mike - 8 years ago

    We need Karl Joseph badly!

  • Tom - 8 years ago

Why does everybody think there are so many DEs there are only 6-8 and a slim chance of any in the second round

  • Charles Pardo - 8 years ago

Have to trade up to 4th to get Ramsey. Hargreaves is the best at 9th. Love the Baylor WR but looks like he will go a little later, like 15th. Lots of DE's in this draft so should be able to find a proper fit later? I'd love an O lineman at nine but our current LT is better than anyone in this draft and looks like a future pro bowler to me. I don't like the RT prospect, I think he's from Indiana? No bend! He'll spend his career on his back.

Take best player available but if a team gives you an offer you cant resist for number 9 , you take it!

  • Isaac - 8 years ago

Trade up or trade down but get ogbah and get jayron kearse in round 3

  • Kris Stone - 8 years ago

I think safety is our biggest area of need right now. We have talent at every position on the team, we've just lacked solid positional coaching, and solid scheming for about the past five years. Our dline needs a top tier nose, we have pass rushers across the board, maybe upgrade our base end, but, Jack Smith is a hack of a pass rusher, as is GMC, but we don't have anyone in the middle helping command that double team away from GMC. Our corners are solid, just wasted in the scheme we were running. Obviously we are set at QB, RB1&2, we have a good core of receivers, our line could use an upgrade at RT, LB's are outstanding...safety is our biggest hole.....if we can't get Ramsey, we need a top tier nose in the first...safety in second, and add a slot receiver in the third, draft for BPA and depth outside of that.

  • AJ Bankston - 8 years ago

I like Hargreaves, but he's undersized for an NFL corner and that will become obvious from week one. Take a DE or even an OT. Take the best player available is the best philosophy for the Bucs.

  • David - 8 years ago

They've been horrendous at a pass rush for a decade. How anyone can say pick anything else is beyond me. Don't over think it. They need DE at #9 and another in the mid rounds.
Get a DB in round 2-3 along with speedy WR

  • Carlos - 8 years ago

I agree with a lot of reports that DE and secondary is our biggest need but I also think we need a solid linebacker. Someone that can drop in coverage and rush the passer since we probably going to see some 3-4 defense.

  • KD - 8 years ago

How about a trade up for Myles Jack?

  • BDC Dean - 8 years ago

Do NOT go for Leonard I have watched him play part time when he feels like it for three years now. He is a no effort guy. He got benched at Georgia for not wanting to work.

  • Mike McKay - 8 years ago

I think by improving our coverage it will help improve our pass rush by allowing more time to get after opposing QB's. I haven't seen it in any mock drafts yet, but I would be interested to see us look at a guy like Eli Apple who's a bit taller with great athleticism who can still cover well. Especially in a division with the likes of Julio Jones, Benjamin and Funchess. Then look for a pass rusher in the second. Regardless, GO BUCS!

  • Nixk - 8 years ago

With the first 2 picks they should take DE, Keotter also said he would like a FB, add a speedy WR into the mix and select all defensive players with the remaining picks.

  • Daniel - 8 years ago

I agree with best player available. However I think that Vernon Hargreaves is going to be that player and that also fills a need position. I also think he is pretty special. With so many DEs in the draft like bosa, spence, Buckner, Lawson, Dodd, Ogbah, one of those will slip to the 2nd round or late 1st and maybe we trade up back into the 1st round to grab one of them. I also like the idea of grabbing Jaylon Smith lb out of notre dame in the 2nd round. He was a top 10 pick before his injury and seems like the kind of player to bounce back well from an injury like that. And obviously if somehow jalen Ramsey slips to us at pick 9, which won't happen, that's the best pick

  • shaggy - 8 years ago

    Bosa bosa bosa

  • Miz - 8 years ago

    BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER

  • Roland - 8 years ago

Ramsey or Hargreaves would be great if still available. If they are not I would love to get Joey Bosa or Spence. But on the other hand, an elite OT would be nice to protect Winston. Hopefully, we can get this done with this draft class. Our last draft was great and I pray that this year equals or surpasses last year. I would also like to see upgrades in our safties and fullback.

WE HAVE A YOUNG TEAM A LOT OF PLAYERS NEED TIME TO DEVELOP ON DEFENSE. NEED I REMIND YOU OF MICHEAL BENNETT WITH THE SEAHAWKS OR MARK BARRON (WHO JUST SIGNED FOR 45MILLION TODAY BY THE WAY). WE HAVE A FEW HOLES TO FILL WITH THAT PICK. THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS YEARS DRAFT IS THAT EVERY POSITION WE NEED TO FILL IS DEEP. HERE IS MY LIST OF PICKS AND REASONS WHY. #1 A (TACKLE) Ronnie Stanley OR Jack Conklin WE HAVE TO PROTECT OUR FRANCHISE QB( DONT YOU THINK) # 2 WE NEED A OLB. WE HAVE ALEXANDER AND DAVID. NOBODY ELSE ON THE OUTSIDE. Darron Lee OR Leonard Floyd THESE GUYS ARE BEASTS. #3 (DB) I KNOW YOU GUYS LIKE RAMESY AND Vernon Hargreaves BUT THEY WONT BE ON THE BOARD PAST THE 6TH PICK(SD,DC,JAX,MIA) NEED DBS. FROM WHAT I SAW AT THE COMBINE I LIKE WILLIAM Jackson III,(FAST MAN TO MAN DB) I HAVE SEEN HIM PLAY MANY TIMES) CYRUS Jones,( PLAYS CB,S DUAL THREAT) AND Jonathan Jones (FASTEST 40 TIME) LOOK THESE GUYS UP ON YOUTUBE AND GIVE ME YOUR OPINION.

  • Crp - 8 years ago

Protecting your star qb seems to obvious. After that more weapons for him! Let's see how high the new scoreboard can count.

  • Garret - 8 years ago

Vernon hargreaves or ramsey which ever we can get a solid corner will make the entire dline better sign charles johnson or olivier vernon i think we should get mario williams no matter the cost....forget martin sims is better all around use sims like forte ir l.mccoy in there prime

  • Garret - 8 years ago

Vernon hargreaves is the only choice to many DE in free agency cant pass on talent like vernon...a good corner makes the dlibe better

  • sixpacktwo - 8 years ago

Best available at DE, CB, or Off. tackle..

  • Connor O'Keefe - 8 years ago

"Get rid of Mike Evans PLEASE. Idc what he used to be. Those tatts weigh his arms down evidently cuz he dropped so many passes that could have put us in the playoffs that he is a no brainer to get rid of and put the money to the 9 pick WR. We have the quarterback now we need the WR with glue hands."

    You are a moron.

  • Big Hoss - 8 years ago

Need to take Ogbah from OSU. He had better numbers then any DE and put up a better 40 time then any DE too. He is a beast.

  • M. Eytchison - 8 years ago

We should draft Deforest Buckner or Jalen Ramsey if available.

  • Greg T - 8 years ago

    We want Vernon!

  • bkstormer - 8 years ago

Noah spencer cant stay off the X let someone else deal with that shit

  • Bollocks - 8 years ago

Would like to see a trade down to maybe the Rams at 15. Give the Rams the 9th pick and maybe a 4th for the 15 and the Rams 2 picks in the 2nd. That would give us 15,39,43,45 which should give us 4 starters. If we don't get the trade down and stay at 9 then Noah Spence is the logical choice and a CB or safety in the 2nd round.

  • Dustin H - 8 years ago

    Need Jalen Ramsey go NOLES

  • Justin - 8 years ago

Vernon Hargreaves 3. Or possibly Elliot since we don't have a real rb after Martins gone.

  • Sedd - 8 years ago

I like the player we have on defense and Mike Smith has a good track record as a coach, so bringing in younger free agents on defensive would help with depth. If the Bucs trust their scouts (including Spytek) I believe they could find a productive linemen and DB in the latter rounds.
With that being said, it would be smart to make sure Doug Martin's legs are fresh and keep him motivated by adding a RB early in the draft.
In 2010 Blunt played a big roll, even making Freemen look better then he was, and the Bucs defensive was without the talents of McCoy and David.

  • Keshaun - 8 years ago

DE first round. DB second round. Since we play a 4-3, Jacquese Smith, Gerald McCoy and Henry Melton is kind of a scary D-line in my opinion. We just need that "stand out" prospect in the draft to fill the DE spot on the other side of the D-line. You may say we need corners, but if we can apply pressure on the QB and force terrible throws, veteran corners or not, they're going to be able to capitalize on a terrible throw. By drafting a DE in the first round, the heat on Gerald McCoy is softened and allows him to be the beast of a player he is. After the first round, please select the best CB available. If we're able to select a great DE and then a great CB, I believe we'll be able to content with some of the other teams with dominant WRs. Jonathan Banks and Alterraun Verner aren't bad. Mike Jenkins isn't the best other teams are using that as and advantage to progress up field and score on their drive. If we select a CB in the second round, he can fill that third/slot CB position and hopefully lock that slot receiver.

  • AJ Bankston - 8 years ago

I would like to see the Bucs draft an elite offensive lineman. They have a great young nucleus on offense, but offensive line needs to be the number one priority. Instead of filling gaps with journeymen, I think they should fill up the O-line with great young, huge, and physical lineman to give Winston the time he needs to make the magic happen.

  • Jon Bowling - 8 years ago

Noah Spence. Unless we're gonna trade up for Bosa....

  • CCZ - 8 years ago

To anybody who says we need a RB...lets get serious, RBs are a dime a dozen in this league. You don't draft one in the first round unless he is a Todd Gurley or an Adrian Peterson. Elliott is not Gurley and he sure as hell isnt AP. We desperately need an edge rusher. If he is available I think Noah Spence would be the way to go. A good pass rush can do wonders for a secondary. I personally wouldn't even be that mad if we burned our first two picks on an edge rusher. We need them...badly. Free agency will also be a good indicator of what we decide to do in the draft. Bucs working out Brice McCain today is pretty telling.

  • John - 8 years ago

A good tight end can make or break a QB. HUNTER HENRY!

  • Otis - 8 years ago

    Best player available.

  • Ty - 8 years ago

    Noah Spence. End of discussion.

  • Joe - 8 years ago

Need a DE as long as he is not from Clemson

  • Big frank - 8 years ago

I think we should go after a rb Elliott is a game changing rb and theres quality defensive ends in the free agency Doug Martin has showed inconsistency and its production throughout his career

  • Dale - 8 years ago

We play in the NFC south with three of the best QB's in the league we need a pass rusher bad think of the damage Gerald can do if he had someone causing trouble on the Line DE NO BRAINER

  • pound it - 8 years ago

We need a running back. Doug doesn't have the brake away speed anymore and teams will be gunning for him next season (he doesn't have a touchdown for more then 30 yards with a LOT, of chances). We should triad down or triad back in the 1st round for a bigger back, D Henry or E Elliott. Note: Liet has been looking for one.

  • Chris Bernardi - 8 years ago

Hargreaves would be the wise choice and then Oatman in the 2nd round

  • Chris Bernardi - 8 years ago

Hargreaves would be the wise choice and then Oatman in the 2nd round

  • Xclusiv - 8 years ago

Its so crucial to not have a return man or a shutdown corner both play huge parts in this game. I say we trade up to get jalen! Would give the team a needed playmaker.

  • Rancher R. Rancher - 8 years ago

Please, if he is NOT taken already, pick up Joey Bosa. That kid will go far.

  • Coffeyboss - 8 years ago

We gotta get ramsey at CB hes so good and a great returner. Im not even an fsu fan and i like him

  • Tacklebox - 8 years ago

If jalen Ramsey is available it's a no brainer.... Best DB and return man around

  • Ben Levy - 8 years ago

We need a bona-fide return man. We can't just start at the 20 every drive.
