I would work part time or as needed. I need that sense of purpose and reason to get out of bed. I need to interact with other people as well. I would also spend more time volunteering on my local ambulance. My current job prevents me from running as an EMT as much as I want and I miss it terribly.

Since I know that there are few jobs & an overwhelming number of unemployed (contrary to lies spread by government & media), I might feel guilty picking up a paycheck if I did not HAVE to work to p ay my bills. On the other hand, if companies considered volunteer efforts as work (which businesses don't), I would LOVE to apply my 12+ years in animal care to a rescue group/shelter! You rarely earn a living wage working in animal care anyway (veterinary technicians & associate veterinarians usually have secondary jobs, like house cleaning/baby sitting/"specialty item" parties), but the big turn off is the bullying & abusive work environment @ most veterinary/animal care facilities.

I would get back into riding and training horses which is my passion, unfortunately it doesn't pay enough to make a living at for me. Whatever I would make, went right back into my horse.

I'd volunteer more and devote time to my painting crafts. Reinvention of self is an admirable endeavor.
