    2004 NFL Draft
The San Diego Chargers originally held the rights to the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft due to their 4-12 record in 2003. With Manning being the most coveted player in the draft, it appeared that the Chargers' intentions were to draft him first overall. However, Manning (echoed by his father) stated publicly that he would refuse to play for the Chargers if drafted by them.[8] The Chargers selected him with the first pick overall nonetheless as the team had a deal in place with the New York Giants, whereby the Giants would draft and then trade Philip Rivers and draft picks (used to select Shawne Merriman and Nate Kaeding) to the Chargers for Manning.

Eli was not a Giants draft pick. He doesn't belong on this list

Technically, Frederickson should win. The Giants didn't draft Manning. They drafted Philip Rivers and traded him and picks for Manning.

Fredrickson would have been a great RB but Sherman stupidly played him on a wet torn up field when Fredrickson was just coming back a knee operation. The game was preseason too Next to trading Sam Huff this was the worst decision this highly overrated coach made.
