We're AUTHORS. We can write any kind of genre we want! The readers will follow. How about actors who complain that they're stuck in just one kind of particular role because of a popular character they've played? All artists - whether writer, painter, actor - should be able to show his/her creativity in different ways.
I agonized exact.y the same as you Christoph and decided the building up a new set of comedy friends was a waste of time. My comedy is similar to my blogs si I do have that connection. As I posted once when you write for a living to put food on the table you can be asked to write about any subject for a variety of media. I can hope I won't lose any Amie readers but when book 3 comes out hope they will realize I am 'back to normal!'
