Do you feel that the new county Admissions Tax requirements for non-profits to apply for exemption and file revenue reports annually are reasonable?

Just adding more burden to event organizers, both non-profit and those impacted by the tax. Events benefit our area, bringing in other tax revenues. Making them jump through unnecessary hoops, risking losing even more events, is a pennywise and pound foolish endeavor.

Non-profit exemption filing may be reasonable, but asking for a revenue report is not. The County cannot reasonably require that more profitable non-profits have to pay Admission Tax and less profitable ones do not, so what do they need the information for? The non-profits I am involved with are mostly staffed by volunteers. It is difficult enough to ask people to come to meetings and work events. Do you want to throw another task at some beleaguered volunteer who is, let's face it, already juggling more than enough?
