Who SHOULD have won 'Project Runway All Stars'?

Kini should have won. All season long, judges kept saying that they didn't want something that you could buy off the rack.... and those that did, were voted off.....except for whiny Sam who doesn't know design on or off the rack....just Horrific Designs. The judges were more interested in the designer than the design. Since judges can't judge without prejudice why not let the audience vote for their favorite designs. Don't think I'll be watching again. Always like project runway better anyway.

Dom was by far tbe most talented designer with an unbelievabe attitude.I remember the same from her in her win during her season. Not a mean word came out of her mourh. What a doll!

The constant bashing of Sam by the other designers reminded me of the season Michael was on where the other designers kept complaining about how he couldn't sew & throwing him under the bus in group challenges. It's especially sad that the teenagers they just had on a couple months ago had better manners and attitudes than this seasons adults.

Big fan of all project runway shows, but disappointed on this season 5 of all stars, designers were more focused on the personal drama than the fashion, also sad to see kini's reaction to Sam, it got the best of him.

Maybe it was just the photography, but that first print of Dom's looked like somebody threw up blueberry pie all over themselves. This wasn't her best stuff but of the 3 she's the best designer so I was glad she won. Ken doesn't get that WANTING something won't make you the best at it, and Kini has no clue about how his clothes could/would practically be worn by real women. Oh, and yes, the idea to have 3 male models in the show was a silly one and didn't wor.

K well Kini literally made the most disgusting clothes I have ever seen. That crap was straight out of the 80's. Pink shiny plaid.. WTF is wrong with you people? What person would wear that??? Dom's clothes were amazing throughout whereas I was wanting Kini to go home every week because A. He was a crappy person with a poor attitude and B. His clothes are cheap looking garbage with poor taste.

I thought this was supposed to be a fashion show not a show representing what could be carried commercially in lower end retailers like Kohls, QVC etc That is what Dom and Ken's collection represented.
Kini on the other hand presented a high fashion look, well tailored and creative.

by such retai, ers as Kohls etc

Seriously? How can you give any credibility to the judging when Alyssa Milano portrays some version of Bride of Frankenstein every episode and Mizrahi hasn't designed anything but elastic-waist stretch pants and wash-n-wear blouses for 5 years or more. With rare exceptions, these judges wouldn't know fashion if it walked out on a runway ... which it did several times and they were busy being bitchy. Winner? Dom was pre-selected to win; this was evident in Episode 10. This was not a competition in any sense of the word.

I'm surprised by all the Kini love here. No doubt he is talented and accomplished, if repetitive, but to me Dom and Ken had it all over him all the way through. Beyond that, however, he showed a real smallness of soul, evident in the way he constantly denigrated Sam in his voice-overs. Sam is a very young designer, with a lot to learn. He could have learned a lot from Kini, had Kini chosen to be generous of spirit. In the end, Ken saw this and showed he was a better person. I never even put Sam in the running for a win in the competition, but I lost all respect for Kini early on from his constant digs and nasty comments about Sam. I think karma caught up with him.

Ken should have won his designs were the most wearable & beautiful, Keni designed great costumes but not items that people would wear.Dom's line did not look like a winner to me.

Kini was underscored all season... in the finale, the judges criticized his collection because it went from black/white to color...yet they praised ken for going from b/w to color...bright neon in-your-face yellow...

I really think Ken should have won, his collection was beautiful and wearable, Kini also does beautiful work. Dom is a very good designer but she missed the boat on this challenge. her garments were just not as nice as other things she had made. The prints were just awful. Lately I think the judges on All starts and the regular season of Project Runway need glasses. Remember the winner of last years Project Runway, she looked like she was designing for clowns in the circus.

Ken should have won! His clothes were more wearable. Did not like Dom's clothes at all!!

Why does Project Runway All Stars feel the need to bring back someone who won the season when they competed? If you remember on the first show, when Dom came out, all of the other designers were saying that she was going to win - and she did - Big Surprise!! Kini's collection was one that could have walked at New York Fashion Week. Dom's was not - just saying!!

It was bad enough that we had to endure Sams craptacular work week after week but then to have Dom win with that mess of a collection she sent down the runway-UGH!

I could not believe she won the fairytale challenge over Kini. I could not believe she won the print on print challenge over Kini. And I can not believe she won with the collection she made. Not only were her prints messy and nauseating, her clothes looked poorly constructed!

Ken would have been my second choice. LOVED that yellow dress and the white suit. The woman from Marie Claire was a real bitch to him.

  • Ann Wolsky - 8 years ago

This win was ridiculous. I would never wear those clothes that Dom designed. The men's shirt was awful.

Ken should have won. Those were the most wearable clothes. I loved Kini last three dresses in the pink and blue. If his collection would have been more like those styles he would have won.

Anyhow, I guess my friends and I have no taste because we all hated Dom's looks.

I feel exactly the opposite of the other comments. I thought Sam was put down by everyone and still perform under such hassle enviroment .Kini's attitude was pitfull, complaining and wishing him bad luck, ken also was very hurtful.Dom is a class act, smart, creative , a true artist, that doenst need to relay in putting others down to feel good about herself. A true winner. Sam was very creative , from a young perspective he was pretty cool.

So glad Dom won. keni really has questionable taste. Like he doesn't design he just throws crap on clothes and hopes the judges like it. I loved him during his actual season but this year he really turned me off by his pettiness.

  • Noelani - 8 years ago

I'm happy to see that Kini is ahead in this poll! By the comments, it looks like many more viewers preferred his collection than the other two put together.

  • Judy Andrews - 8 years ago

Kini was by far the designer with the most talent. Ken produced a classy collection. Dom's clothes were poorly constructed and made me naseus.

Sam really was a turn off and I, too, almost wanted to "turn off" my TV when he'd start his flirting with the judges and his sniveling with the other designers. I do not understand how the judges did not recognize that Sam did not actually sew/execute many of his "creations". But, to see Dom, Kini and Ken be the final three---they were all so supportive, respectful and kind to each another. And, though I loved all 3 designers I did think that KINI should have won but what a refreshing pleasure to see how these three fine people and designers interacted for the finale.....great showmanship, sportsmanship and sewmanship by all......

  • Latreese - 8 years ago

I thought Ken was more realistic of all the designs that people would wear more but the judges like different and the other two contestants certainly lived up to that and some seem to have Isaac's eye Isaac really love Sam he could do no wrong in his eyes but I guess that's fashion

  • C A Tucker - 8 years ago

I thought Keni should win. However, my comment is not about who won as I respect all three designers and their wonderful talent. What a beautiful set of clothes Ken deisgned.

This is the 1st year since the Project Runway series' started that I considered turning off this series. I am glad that Sam had such a judges fan club. Isaac seemed to enjoy a wonderful relationship.
I do not think the juniors should not be with the seniors. He is not - nor will ever be - Christian Siriano.
I will not say what I thought of him as a 'person' because it is terrible right down to his donning matching 'glasses' with one of the visiting judges which is why I wanted to turn it all off. I thank Ken and also Alexander for putting it on out there. Someone needed to. Is this the sleazy way he also won his Junior competition? Wink wink.
