Should they have killed Harambe the gorilla after he dragged a 4 year old boy at the Cincinnati Zoo?

I do not want to anger anyone, but I felt that this should be said. First off, wow. These comments have terrible grammar (sorry, I have OCD). But seriously, in my opinion, I don't think they should have killed the gorilla, but I do understand that they didn't want the child to be harmed. I think that they might have been able to settle it differently, but I am not sure. Maybe if the shot him, rather than shorting him, they could have tranquilized him if they were worried, not jumping to such extremes. But come on, how do you not have the common sense to watch your child? Even if you don't expect him to climb into an animal exhibit, you should still watch them! What if they got kidnapped or run off in general? In my opinion, it's the fault of the careless parents. I think they could have avoided this, and if not, maybe could have handled it better. I am sorry if I offended anyone, I apologize, however, I felt the need to state my opinion. Thank you!

Harambe wouldve been better parent than those idiots. This is not "Little Timmy Fell in the Well", this is "Little Timmy Got Tossed Into the Well" Harambe didnt deserve to die... He didnt kill the child and he probably wasnt going to.

This is a very biased poll. It talks about how the gorilla dragged the boy but not how he didn't kill it when he easily could have. Nothing on the fact that the only reason the kid got there was because the mother was very incompetent and couldn't even watch her child.

What a dumb poll. They could have just left it at "should they have killed Harambe the gorilla"

I believe this could have saved both child and gorillas life if the mother was paying more attention to the child, and better safety was in place. Who are we too take life of an animal for others mistake? God will punish you for killing an gorilla shame on you all. For voting yes!!!!

I can't believe that so many people would prefer that that innocent child (no matter his color) should have died.

I totally agree with the intensity with saving this child there's also the intensity of saving both living creatures. Not Taking a life, we need you understand as humans that Gorillaz are 10 times are size they are stronger more capable of many things and its not there fault that they don't understand that were little bit more fragile than they are, him dragging the boy would be the same thing he would do to his young if everybody in that building would of gotten out except for that parent and everybody stay calm that probably would have happened a lot differently the grill it might not even have drug the kid but with all the chaos and screaming he was trying to move away from all the yelling. At one point he even stood the boy up which wasn't aggressive in any way. So to the comment before I am in touch with human life also the rights of a voiceless animal.

The 1416 who voted that Harambe should not have been killed are out of touch with human life. If it were their child they would be voting yes
