This poll is opinion-misleading. The yes, and no answers deak with completely different topics. The yes-answer invites parents who are not into the topic of homeschooling to disown this 'yes', whereas the no-option is a popular argument in favor of schools. This is not a neutral poll.

This is the worst poll I've ever seen! It demonstrates a complete lack of understanding, not only of homeschooling but of the options currently being proposed for families in Malta. So sad. Please amend the wording and make "Yes" and "Maybe" one and the same! "Yes" has never even been on the table and "Maybe" is the way every family makes it's decision on education for their kids! Let this be a poll about choice and the potential BEST for the next generation of Maltese kids! Very unhelpful Malta Today.

As usual with MT polls, the correct answer is "none of the above".

Seriously, you should restrict the answers to yes / no / maybe, not append a qualification to each one.

My answer would be "Yes", however homeschooled children (or their parents) cannot just decide to study what they want.

Yes the wording is incorrect - homeschooled children follow a structured programme with goals and standards to be achieved. Homeschooling is certainly not the 'laissez faire" situation that some would perceive it to be. - which is why many homeschooled children go on to university and excel.
It does involve dedication on the part of the parents - which is why it is dedicated and passionate parents who are lobbying for homeschooling to be made legal.
It means the parents are involved in the child's education rather than leaving it to others.
Loving and dedicated parents should not be denied the right to homeschool their kids.
