What people do not seem to realize is when minimum-wage go up to 12 everything will gradually go up also. They will still be in the same boat struggling. They need to go back to school and get a better education so they can make more than $12 an hour. working at a fast food restaurant was not meant for you to make a career out of it and take care of your family.
When you increase the minimum wage everything else goes up ei: gas, groceries, rent, ultilies, everyday items

Pure and utter bullshit. If you want better pay get an education. Students and retirees are supposed to work at McDonalds not Sylvia who needs to support a family of 8. You are telling me that a burger flipper or a janitor are supposed to make as much as an EMT, CNA or helpdesk technician. Stop batching and just work towards better pay by bettering yourself.

I watched my daughter work her butt off to get up to 12.00 an hour. Now people walking on to the job from day 1 will make the same as she does. Hardly fair. A minimum wage was not meant to be a living wage. Its minimum pay for minimum work. If you want higher pay then go back to school and educate yourself.

If I have to pay a few cents more so that people can receive a living wage I am all for it. I am blessed to live a comfortable life. A simple modest life but comfortable. I feel for people that have to work so hard for such small wages to provide for their families. I think a minimum wage of $12.00 will be a life changing thing for so many people. I hope the people of Arizona will see that this is needed and will have a little compassion in their hearts. It is good for our community.
