It amazes me how people take it personally on what a sports athlete did. As if that persons motives, actions, beliefs, etc have anything to do with us. We are all human beings who make our own choices in life for what we believe is necessary for our own lives. Ryan Braun used PED's. Oh well! So what! Are we perfect? Brett Favre decided to try and win another Super Bowl and finish his career on his terms once it was evident that the Packers were moving on. Oh well! So what! Why do fans take these things personal? Favre and Braun along with other athletes have no idea who we are. They've never met us, and likely we've never met them. We take these things personally, but look the other way at those that drink and drive, use illegal substances, or treat others like dirt. These actions directly influence innocent peoples lives in a negative way, yet that's OK. But if our favorite athlete doesn't do things exactly how we want, we hold a grudge. To me, that's petty, childish, and an arrogant way to live ones life. Take things for what they are, and worry truly about ourselves, family and friends, cause after all, that's what really matters!

won't watch and don't care anymore. Thanks to the hall of fame people, the NFL and Favre's petty feud with Thompson and McCarthy, one of the greatest Packers of all time will forever be linked to the Vikings, with that purple rag hanging in his canton locker.

Don't plan to; Depends if i'm inside at the time. but , don't need to. Here in Wiscy, it'll be re-played ad nauseum forever and ever until I'm dead...still a bit miffed about the Vikings and Jets years...and watching the pukey fans of 'our' team stating he was a god....he was a sports hero of mine(along with the Crew's druggy liar.) Trying real hard to forgive and let go, but they left such a bad taste in my youthful sports idealistic mind, even as I approach 60, it's difficult for me . They're human , but shit! Proud he's one of 24 Packers. Hopefully, more time will heal my wounds. My opinion.
