Do you agree with 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s decision to not stand during the national anthem?

I heard pat Tillman was shot because he was a complete asshole and the troops hated his guts
Tillman just wanted to kill a bunch of Arabs legally so he joined the army. Real brave. Any fool can pull a trigger.

I don't respect Kap's opinion or his right to not stand for the National Anthem. I heard his reasoning and it's nonsense. Know the origin of the anthem and the circumstances under which it was written. If Kap is so concerned about all the bodies in the street then refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Or better yet point to the U.S. Constitution where people of color were counted as three-fifths of a person. Stand for the anthem you tool.

Pat Tillman did a selfless thing, but he's dead because of trigger happy troops and not staying behind cover.

Hey Dave. I understand how Tillman died but that doesn't discount his intent. He walked away from.big money to.do something instead of collecting a paycheck in a country he disrespects. And yes, I would make those comments to his face. I'm one of those women.guys like you hate.. direct, capable and in.jobs of authority. Don't plan to.respond going forward since I don't value your opinion.

I think his choice just makes him look silly and unintelligent. I understand that he wants to show support for the cause he believes in and I can't fault him for that. But to do it the way he's doing it, by not honoring this country that has been so good to him and millions of others, of all races, and stating that America is an "oppressive" nation? There's way too much stupid in that reasoning for it to make any sense. He could have done it better and appeared to have some intelligence about it by choosing a different way of getting his message out. But whatever, I guess this worked and he has everyone's attention now. I can only shake my head. He might as well have held up a sign that said #YOLO #LookAtMe #ImCoolRight #4ThaKids #ImRichAF #SwagLife

Why would he serve a country that doesn't value him???
And the heroic Tillman? Shot by his own Army who proudly lied about it.
    It's funny Fed Up.
I doubt you have the courage to say what you posted here to Kaepernik's face.

Perhaps someone should tell Kaepernick about a NFL player named Pat Tillman.. He also had strong opinions and walked away from the NFL to serve his country. I doubt if Kaepernick has the courage to do anything more than shoot his mouth off..

He sure has a lot of balls. While those Uncle Tom NBA players are all talk, Kapernick walked the walk. White people couldn't be more offended. Oh dear good, the military needs its fucking ass kissed at all times. What would do with out those troops fighting overseas for God knows what? They only fight wars to feed the military industrial complex. The ultra wealthy in America are the real crooks. They moved their companies overseas to make more money for themselves. 4 members of the Walton family are in the top 10 in wealth. We stand up for the national anthem to honor them, not some white trash trooper with an IQ of 55 who joined the reserves.

I like his freedom to voice his opinion, however I do not like the venue he chooses to voice his displeasure. I'm surprised he didn't schedule a press conference to proclaim his indifference and what he will try to do to help stop it. Just announcing that he doesn't like something, without offering a solution or contributing to a a solution is immature.

I was in the military and we weren't allowed to "exercise our 1st Amendment rights" while we were in uniform. We were not allowed to make political statements while in uniform. Kaepernick's behavior was distasteful, disgraceful, and childish. If he wants to standup for a cause he can do it when he is not wearing his 49er uniform. They are his employer and he represents the team and the NFL. They have a right to tell him how he behaves while he is in uniform. Shame on the 49er organization for being so weak and not expecting their players to behave appropriately. In the NF the players can't wear whatever color shoes they want, or even whatever jersey they want. Just because he is "making a statement" about a social issue doesn't give him the right to do whatever he wants.

It's freedom of speech,As long as he is in favor of " black life mater, also, instead of " only black life matter/".
