I'm sorry, to me no comparison Kirk is Star Trek. He was there when it started and he will be known for it when it's gone. Don't get me wrong I like Picard, but Kirk is without a doubt the bottom line.

Yes, I like Picard also but Kirk was by far the first and the best captain ever. How good was he?
Well how many of the other captains have been re-introduced to a new generation of fans and recast to continue their legacy?

as point of fact, sisko was not a Captain until the last year if not mistaken.. But I did like deep space nine the best of all the star trek and enterphrise a close second
