As a long term sufferer of UC it is great to see the support for Crohns & Colitis and how it is growing. This wasn't there when I was younger and was first diagnosed. It is so much better to have people who know what you're going through to be able to share stuff with

Cruse volunteers can make a difference to people who often feel their world has fallen apart. The volunteers stand alongside and support the bereaved to build themselves a new future, putting their new world back together again.
You can support Cruse to do this too.

I've voted for Cruse Bereavement Care because, even though I am one of their volunteers I am always amazed at the dedication the volunteers put into their work with Cruse. The support between Cruse clients and the volunteers can be of great significance, and can make a great difference in the clients life. Cruse needs supporting so it can carry on its valuable work in the community.

Our Service offers support to anyone in North Wales following a bereavement. We aim "to be there" when people have lost a loved one and need someone to listen and support them during their grief.
We have an adult and a Children and Young People's Service which is run by volunteers.
Please support us so that we can ensure that we always have fully trained volunteers available who can respond straight away.

Please vote for the Delirium and dementia team at Ysbyty Gwynedd, this fantastic team are fund raising in order to provide a sensory garden for individuals living with dementia who happen to find themselves in hospital. This can be a very confusing and distressing time for them, the sensory garden may give them some relief from this during their inpatient stay.

They have already created an activities lounge which offers some respite from the hectic ward environment, this has already had a positive impact on hospital life for these individuals. Delay the and her team of dementia support workers are passionate advocates for individuals living with dementia. They strive to make the often distressing hospital experience a more positive one, but they also play a huge role in the support and education of other staff members within the hospital and careers/partners of those they are caring for.

Delyth has also been successful in bringing the John's passport to Ysbyty Gwynedd, this system recognises the need for carers to be able to have flexible visiting to their family member and makes such a difference to people's lives. Ysbyty Gwynedd is the first hospital in Wales to achieve this! We are very proud of them, please help us to keep promoting dementia awareness and change lives for the better!

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

We are aiming to make Prestatyn a Dementia Friendly community.

Dementia Friends Information Sessions are run by volunteer Dementia Friends Champions, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society.

Each Information Session lasts around one hour. You will learn more about dementia and how you can help to create dementia friendly communities.

A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action - anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend.

Whether you attend a face-to-face Dementia Friends Information Session or watch our online video, Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about Dementia Friends to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts
