I totally agree with everyone else, totally biased. I just can't believe theses are the best candidates we have. Having said that, it still needs to be fair to both of them. Earlier in the week I saw the mainstream media trying to rig the debate by saying the moderator should fact check. In other words............be able to attack a candidate. We all know which candidate was attacked. Hello?.......Bengazi, Clinton foundation, Email server, Pay to play, Bill's rape allegations. These are just not some minor things, this is corruption to the core. Just connect the dots on the Clinton foundation. Take a look at the poor people in Haiti that never got the aide that so many people donated. Clinton lies to the american people daily and only a few care. Lester Holt should be charged with a crime for stating lies as facts and defending Clinton. In 1968 the U.S. Supreme Court said Stop and Frisk is constitutional. Lying, as Holt did (as did Candy Crowley), is a chargeable offense in many instances. This should be one of them. He's supposed to be a moderator. Lies ... especially serious ones ... carried criminal penalties at one time.

I felt he tried to be a little fair. IMO his worse action was entering into the debate an announcing stop and frisk was unconstitutional. We can do our own fact checking. IMO he did open the door on cyber security and HRC went on and on about it. And Trump missed a wonderful opportunity to hit her up, because he was distracted about his taxes. IMO that was a huge missed opportunity for HRC to be hit up with factual info about everything from her server and emails to Benghazi.....that is on Trump for not walking through that door. I think that probably most people will see his mode refractor skills through the prism of their choice for president. I agtee, that most questions should be about policy and not personal questions, and I think that a Trump was asked more personal questions. The last question, I was proud that Trump did not stoop to her level, but I think he could asked in a nice way about why she pays women employees less then men, how is she so pro child, when she defended a child rapist, and why did she undermine all the woman that Bill has raped. But maybe that could not have been done without stooping to her level so maybe he made the reight decision

It reminded me of The Obama-Romney debate in 2012 when CNN Candy the moderator would not let Romney complete his answer and Obama's wife yelled from the audiance and things went down hill after that for Romney. I personally feel that Clinton was provided the questions ahead of time when (if I recall correctly) no one had was to know the what the questions were to be. Lester asked at least two debate questions pointed toward Trump, and corrected the audience once when they cheered for Trump. Hillary got no pointed questions nor was the audience ever corrected when they cheered for her. It was obviously biased. I personally think both candidates are a joke, but it still upsets me that something like this can't be free of bias, blatant bias. Hillary had Lester in her pocket.

For the most part he was just okay, but definitely slanted topics not controversial for Hillary Clinton. He brought up no questions or issues of controversy regarding Clinton. NONE! Why did he not ask about Benghazi and Clinton's obvious lying about a fake video and telling parents of the dead soldier's that scenario than the real truth under her watch as Secretary of State, (why did he not ask if she does not owe those families an apology since she is always asking others to apologize?), or delve into Clinton's email scandal regarding the missing emails and bleached out emails which may still cause security issues for the US and is such a big part of this campaign and has obviously cost her much distrust and votes, She says words do matter, but what about her words? Where were the questions regarding the controversy over the Clinton Foundation and pay for play? These issues define character/temperament/judgement of a person, something she needs to be called out on! As an experienced politician a "smile" and a "sorry" does not cut it and simply is not good enough.
Holt was wrong on the stop and frisk comment, the judge was thrown off the case and case may still be pending. He was wrong on the Trump comments on the Iraq war and unfortunately once again Trump had to defend his position. Holt should not have entered into those issues. So, though I am not surprised of the slanted questioning, I was still disappointed and only confirms that the media is unfair and unbalanced. I thought Trump spoke from the heart and tried to explain the real hard issues US and its people will be facing with a sense of hope for the future and Clinton was a well rehearsed puppet with more of the same old rhetoric.

At one point, right after Trump started a sentence, he interrupted, so Trump shut him up by saying:"You asked me a question, and I'm answering. Do you want me to answer.

Most of the questions from Lester were about Trumps tax returns, business debt, Obamas citizenship, and the race card. No questions on Benghazi, email scandals, medical issues, birth of ISIS, immigration, etc. If you noticed, Lester would let Hillary start the response on every question so Trump would have to end up defending each issue, then he would cut Trump off when he tried to respond. Lester Holt failed as a moderator tonight because he lost complete control of the situation and aloud Donald Trump to talk on and on in stead of holding him to the two minutes allowable. He continually called two minutes on Hillary Clinton and did not do the same for DT. In my opinion, LH should have interrupted DT during his rambles and held him to the rules set up for the debate as he did Hillary. Poor showing as a moderator. I do not know how moderators are chosen, but there better be a better selection for the following two debates.

In my opinion, LH should have interrupted DT during his rambles and held him to the rules set up for the debate as he did Hillary. Poor showing as a moderator. I do not know how moderators are chosen, but there better be a better selection for the following two debates.
Lester Holt failed terribly! He totally allowed Trump to keep talking when told to stop! He never answered any questions. A debate is to allow the citizen to have a fair look at the canidate and his views on all the subjects that are important to this country! All Lester did was to allow Clinton and Trump to continue their hatred on the stage in front of all of us that need are looking for a leader. Lester did not make them stick to the question..terrible. When do we get to have a debate with a tough moderater .....so we can see what their views are!!! Americans lost tonight!!!!!
