It is long past time to put an end to these barbaric laws where a recreational marijuana user can spend more time in prison than a murderer or rapist thanks to the three strikes law. The war on drugs has been a dismal failure eating up hundreds of millions of tax dollars and incarcerating thousands upon thousands of citizens while the Mexican drug cartels get ever more powerful and dangerous. Make it legal!

The opposition (Arizonans for responsible drug policy) is funded by Big Pharmacy and super pacs that refuses to disclose their donation source. They were just created to oppose prop 205 and have nothing to do with the people of Arizona nor promoting responsible drug policies. They even received funding from Arizona Wine and Spirits Association, a trade group representing various alcohol wholesaler. So yeah I'm not going to trust ads funded by the industries fixing to lose their monopolistic strong hold on legal drugs, recreation or prescription.

I agree that possessing small amounts of mj hsould not be a crime. This bill is badll thought out: edibles are a big problem for small children; the tax is high enough to create a black market; I do not believe much $ will trickle down to schools; and lastly, because possession is still a federal crime, any money made cannot go into a bank. There will be storage units of cash with armed guards. Back to the drawing boards, guys. Let's get it right in AZ.

Vote for freedom. Vote for pursuit of happiness. Let's stop jailing family members and friends. Let's stop tearing families apart and destroying lives by sending people to jail over a plant.

the opponents tv ads are filled with false info. in wa state we have no big problems with legal pot. the penalties for marijuana in arizona are barbaric. a felony for possessing a joint ? ruin someone's life just for smoking a little weed doesn't make any sense. no wonder there is such a crime problem here with smuggling its time arizona put the thugs out of biz and make some cash for schools and keep pot "criminals" out of the courts people will smoke regardless if it's legal or not. just because it's legal does not mean people that never smoked will flock to the pot store to try it nor will the kids. it is no worse than alcohol and should be regulated as such and decriminalized to create new commerce and jobs
