What grade should Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers receive for his performance vs. the Giants?

I think it is a combination of a few things that have already been said and I have to repeat. One, outside of Jordy Nelson, their receivers are pretty much garbage. They are all basically possession receivers who cannot get open. They have to get someone who is good that has some speed. Second, Ted Thompson. I am okay with building through the draft but you have to sprinkle it with some people that can actually play now. There is nothing wrong with getting a free agent who can play at key positions. Ted Thompson neglects that. Lastly, McCarthy. That guy is straight-up horrible. Too passive and just not aggressive enough. When you have someone down, you have to keep it coming! This guy gets passive and these teams come back on them all the time. Horrible coach. Should have 3 Super Bowls with the talent that has been there.

I think the problems r 2-fold: Average receivers coupled w/ a declining super-star that the average fan can't or wont accept. If it doesn't get fixed, start looking at QB2.

I think it is time to hand the reigns over to Elliott Wolf before he gets a GM job somewhere else. Imagine if he was running the Lions right now. The packers would have to deal with 2 competent franchises twice a season. This franchise has grown stagnant. Old Ted is about ready to put out to pasture. Schum is a bum. He essentially cut one bum punter for an even bigger bum punter. In the entire free world, there are no more than 31 guys who can competently punt a football?

Aaron Rodger's days as an elite QB are long over. The Packers would be wise to take a deep look at Brett Hundley and test the market for what they can get for Rodgers. Imagine 3 first round picks from the 49ers. I think it is mostly his age and lack of wide receiving talent that have finally caught up to him.
Rodgers a couple years ago would have had 350 yards and 4 TD passes in the first half against that lousy Giants secondary. I think Brett Hundley is the better QB at this point. McCarthy doesn't have the stones to play him.

This coaching staff particularly on the offensive side sucks. They have 12 offensive coordinators, but not a single QB coach that can work with Rodgers on fixing his crappy mechanics. They should get a QB coach like maybe Jon Gruden in to work with him on setting his feet consistently when he throws. His mechanics have regressed so much in the last couple of seasons. It's unbelievable.

I can name at least 5 other NFL QBs who would have gained 500 yards in the air given the amount of time they had in a safe pocket to carve up the competition. Rodgers manages only with minimal effectiveness against a mediocre backfield. I would have thought last year's dismal showing by their receivers minus Nelson would have moved management into a stark realization that the receiving corps is lacking talent. Sorry to say, come post season, this team isn't going anywhere.

We are so used to #12 giving a 120 qb rating, that a good performance is disappointing? or average....a W is a W is above average....at least a "B"....could have the Bears or Rams, or Tb QB etc.....
