Because i want them FINALLY to explain the freaking lore of this show! There are so many questions left unanswered, it is driving me insane. Every time they do some world building, instead of answering, they just add more questions! Like:
-The origin of the tree/Elements of Harmony
-Starswirl in general
-Where did Celestia/Luna came from?
-What are THEIR connections to the tree?
-Are there more of Discords race, if so, why is he special with his chaos magic?
-Where did ponies came from with their unique races? (and of course all the other sentient races)
-Why were the ponified Elements(Twilight and co) born this generation and not any other generation?
-Are the CMC just as special as the Elements? In that they have a greater destiny to the fate of equestria?
-Spikes origin in general
-Alicorns in general
and so much more

I said other. Hopefully in season 7, unlike in season 6, we'll get episodes that aren't completely convoluted, utterly pointless, or absolutely ridiculous. Trust me, kids can handle an episode where someone doesn't burst into a multi-colored eyesore. They can handle emotional depth without needing some deus-ex style event to explain away all thought requirements. They can handle actual conflicts, with real resolutions. The first four seasons were extremely popular for these exact reasons. Season 6 is exactly the opposite. I guess somehow kids became dumber in these past six years? Is that what happened? It certainly seems like that's the case, if the writing is anything to go by.

Seeing a Generation 4 design of Minty, Kimono, and the other Generation 3 ponies would definetly be an interesting see. Maybe introducing them as old fillyhood friends of Pinkie Pie, or even rivals. And I'm sorry to say, but I'm not the only one who'd wish Minty, Kimono, et cetera, would replace Starlight in the series. It may just be me, but I just don't find all that much use to her more than someone to be a successor to Twilight. And even then, why not make it somepony with a lot more depth and character?
Now, I'm not saying Starlight is a bad character or anything. But I just personally don't like her stealing the others spotlight with her rather dull episodes and personality. Which is why episodes like Amending Fences are just fabulous with that kind of thing.

Mike Vogel finally getting kicked out to go write for, I dunno, Family Guy or some other awful dreck where his crap skills would fit in.
I'm more or less fine with the other writers the show's had. Sure, there've been some stumbles here and there...but Vogel's writing is /consistently/ awful, on so many levels.
Sunset! WHY?! I refuse to mix Equestria Girls with the show. As far as I'm concerned the Equestria Girls story line is in a completely different universe.

She then has to go unnoticed whilst she searches for a way to get back to her old life, but is ultimately outed when this version of the elements catches her in the midst of sneaking into the library to steal Starswirl's journal. They then spend the second half of the season with Twilight getting to know these versions of the mane six as well as her Alicorn self, along with all the other tiny differences from her own reality whilst they together try to find a way to send Twilight home. @Thinker159: Introducing a new set of main characters shouldn't be continuation of FiM, it should be the start of a new series. FiM is the mane six's show and it should stay so, changing the show that much would suck. Before making a series with new ponies they have to end FiM first.

I'm interested in the growth of the Mane 6. We always knew that Twilight wanted to advance her magic and friendship skills, that Rarity wanted to expand her business, and that RD wanted to join the Wonderbolts. They did. So I'd like to see what the other three friends' lives have in store. How's Pinkie doing with her parties, or at least her baking? Will something pose a threat to her Looney Tunes lifestyle? Will we see Fluttershy with Discord or with bat features, or with new exotic or dangerous animals? And how is AJ going to react to her family growing, or shrinking, around her? Or is there something new in store for her, her life, and her family? And, how do the other, slightly more ambitious, mares react to all this?

Other: A new villain to menace the Mane cast. After Season 6 had no villain for the premiere and brought back an old one for the finale, I'd say it's time to give them a new challenge.
We only get to pick one? Does Polldaddy not have a ticky-box type of poll where you pick all choices that apply?
So, I picked "other". What I want, which is not on the list, is a unifying theme for advancement. Like the Friendship Lessons, or the Key Quest, or preparations for some event that gets resolved in the season finale. Show that the ponies are going somewhere, improving, collaborating on something bigger than their own individual dreams and aspirations. That's what I want for season seven.

I want the season to set up into the 3-parter series finale, with the MLP movie serving as an epic mid-season adventure. Then season 8 will be a continuation series introducing us to a whole new Mane 7.
Obviously new songs it wouldn't be mlp without musical numbers in the season and they're usually great.
Of course that's more important than anything else.
But if this is more of a "what would you be more excited about" than it would be Sunset coming to Ponyland.

People really seem to want more adventure. It's funny, because I'm a guy who grew up with Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Godzilla, Jurassic Park, and Saturday morning cartoons--and who has no interest in dramas except occasionally--yet I'm totally comfortable with the balance between adventure and slice-of-life episodes.
There's almost always a big adventure at the beginning and end of every season, and several more sprinkled in between.

They really should have followed up on post-redemption Diamond Tiara during season 6 instead of just demoting her to background pony. I hope they get to it in season 7.

As soon as I saw the Sunset option I knew it would be tops and I was correct. Because there is so many possibilities to have her back, changed so much, the show would have to have a good reason to bring her back. Even if it was a one or two show visit. My only concern is that the writers might not be up to such an emotional trip.

As I said before: whether Sunset Shimmer returns to Equestria or stays in the human world, either way it's going to be a bittersweet ending for her story arc.

I put "Sunset returning to Equestria," since I think she would be great to see with Starlight and Trixie, but what I really want is better writing in general. I feel we are starting to recycle old episodes and the characters feel out of character pretty often and IDK where the overarching plot is going anymore. I miss things like the Elements or the keys in season 4 or the cameos building the hype for Starlight's return in season 5. We had that changeling cameo and episode building up to the finale, but I want more stuff like that; overarching season long (or several season long) plots that lead to something (that is hopefully not a let down...)

I'd definitely like to see Sunset Shimmer in Equestria. I quite liked her design from the first Equestria Girls movie, and I'd like to see how she interacts with characters like Starlight and Trixie, considering they can all relate to each other.
