Should the Celtics trade this year's Nets pick?

The Celts are fine for the upcoming playoffs. At last the Celts are at their best since the Larry Bird days. The present is fine, don't screw up the future. Keep the Nets 1st round pick for the future.

I think if the Celtics are trading for a superstar like Jimmy Butler or Paul George they should try to get a deal done with the 2018 Nets pick instead of this years. They could potentially give up 4 future first round picks without actually hampering themselves. I think a fair trade scenario would be the 2018 Nets pick, the first round Clippers and Memphis picks, a second round pick, Crowder, and Rozier for Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. They could even substitute Crowder, the second, and Rozier for Bradley(which would help their cap situation in the future) and the could add in any of Young, Mickey, Zeller, or Jerebko(which might be necessary to make the trade legal). Both teams would be giving up quality assets(no doubt) and that would be a lot of picks for the Celtics to part with, but none of the Celtics assets in this trade scenario are keys to their success(except Crowder/Bradley, but Butler would more than make up for that production). I think it's a fair trade and I think it would help both teams do what's best for their organizations.
