I was a police explorer for 4 year. During those years, I've went through numerous training scenarios involving potential riot situations. I know from my training that pointing a gun at a heated crowd will only cause more anger and increase the likelihood of a riot starting, not to mention the danger it presents to non-hostile protesters. In my opinion, it would've been better to leave the immediate area and call the police. Always leave it to the professionals when it comes to protests like this.

Although, I carry on a daily basis and know my rights of protection. I don't see what justified this dude pulling his gun. He had the ability to leave the situation and chose to stay and cover. Pulling out the gun pissed off the guys who followed him. I do think that later in the video when the guy came up behind him and shoulder checked him could warrent him pulling his firearm.
