    It's the one time when tradition outweighs value. Though I still ensure that the egg is the best price for the weight.

    I bought my kids bars instead of eggs too. Now I am doing the same with my 6 grandchildren. £10+ is not much to spend when you have grandchldren.

    A long time ago (feeling very aged c 50 years plus!) I was offered a choice between an Easter egg and block chocolate to the same value. Working out the relative weights, I opted for the block chocolate so I got more chocolate. Still get a lot more chocolate for the same money if you don't buy eggs!
