Jeana Mitchell, this lady had overcome so much in her life and keeps going. Feom being a survivor of childhood sexual abise, to domestic abuse , as well as health problems she does not give up. She along with her husband organized a non profit to help veterans and disabled children become involved in the outdoors, and to educate mite women did they may also become sctive. She is a member of church, a wife, mom and disabled vet who is truly deserving of this.
Melanie Peterson is your lady!!! Her video already tells the story and her contributions to this great sport. But...it doesn't show how truly special she is. A wife, a mom, a glamma! I have worked with Melanie for the past 3 years and I'm amazed at how hard this lady works. Her passion for hunting is unbelievable. I watch her guiding clients EVERY day of our hunting season and shes never complaining. She really loves this! The days are really long and shes still excited to get up and go day after day. The other guides learn so much from her. Melanie has a very funny sense of humor and I enjoy listening to the stories and roar of laughter when the hunters are around the dinner table. She really makes hunting fun for all of us. She is sure to add some epic moments to the show.

I have been a part of JJ Johnsons passion for hunting, shooting, and watched her grow up into an amazing woman and hunter. JJ has been through some very trying injuries, yet she has such a positive approach to life she is amazing. She can speak several languages and even is proficient in Sign Language. She has a passion, LIFE. She is willing to help anyone that wants to succeed in any sport, by her being a personal trainer, she leave it all on the playing field. We have shot together, archery, Trap, Tournaments, and even trained over several hundred girl Scouts in archery with our group. She is as I say an amazing positive influence on anyone she is around. She can hunt them, she can shoot them and she can clean them, and as you can see, she can cape them... She sees the prize, she knows what it is about to harvest an animal, and she praises our Almighty, for the gifts she has been blessed with. She has my vote for sure....She will represent all Women in the sport, and she is a mother passing on the Heritage to her son Wyatt. She is a HUNTER.

I have known Shani Thompson my entire life. A harder working or more devoted family would be hard to find. Shani's devotion to hunting is beyond belief. I believe she should be given a chance. She has earned all she has, nothing was handed to her.

Stephanie's video is way too modest. She has taken on the media when they were critical of her successful mountain lion hunt and then welcomed them in her home for interviews, to talk about the benefits of hunting when legal hints have come under fire from anti-hunting groups. She is one of the most vocal advocates of hunting that I know.
She has been on hunts that have tested her physically, emotionally and she has always came back grateful for the experience, even if it wasn't fully successful. She helps introduce both men and women to the world of hunting and is very active in promoting hunting to our youth, to ensure it's future and preserve our heritage.
Congratulations on your nomination Steph! You are certainly the most extreme huntress that I know!

She is very passionate about wildlife conservation and introducing other women and children into the outdoors and hunting. She volunteers her time anyway she can for multiple organizations to promote women in the field. It's very impressive that she is as accomplished as a hunter as she is, especially not having a family background of hunting and being self taught. She enjoys going along and helping on all the hunt's even when she's not the one harvesting the animals. Shani Thompson is a hunter i have kept track of for quite awhile,she is a great gal,and obviously on hell of a successfyl huntress,she really would be the best canidate for this,she cares about her family and her 4 legged friends,and cooks some great game at home with her family
