We should not be privatizing anything - 7 years ago
Who has the money to buy out the system? Billionaires!
Will they buy it to profit or for the good of the country?
Profit!
We are talking about a system we built and paid for and giving it away to one of trump's friends. Cost will go up, service down, wages will go down. Everyone is a looser in this except the people our llegitimate president decides to sell it to.

I'm on the fence about this one, surely if it is privatized wages and expenses would go down temporarily, but in the grand scheme, private companies are going after bigger and bigger profit margins. Travelers will pay more per ticket every year to cover the cost of executive pay & dividends- not hourly or salaried workers. Right now we have all Americans paying through their taxes, if we privatize it, your ticket will likely jump 10-15% due to less money coming in. This tax strategy has a negative effect on middle class earners because it takes a larger chunk of their expendable income. Surely comment #1 was being sarcastic, because obviously an uneducated electorate is what got us into this presidential schitzstorm we're in now. God help us, we're gonna need it!

It's just Big Government telling us what to do. Pilots can figure out how to land a plane without being told what to do. Get rid of schools and environmental regulations too and we'll be on our way to greatness again.
