Should the Warriors visit the White House, if invited?

The separation of Organized Sports and State dates back to the creation of our Constitution...seriously people, get real. There is no mandate that professional sports teams have to abide by when it comes to matters of the Oval office. The decision is up to the team. I get the sense that most of the players on the Warriors feel uneasy about meeting the current President, and that is a legitimate sentiment.

Regardless, I don't think we should read too much into their final decision. I will say though that the amount of media attention and the hefty judgement of professional sports organizations that pressure players in how they react to these kind of situations should be scrutinized. It's a violation of Freedom of Speech, and it's ridiculous for professional sports organizations to take political stances.

There's more than one way to RESIST the 45th President. IMHO going to the White House out of respect for the office and letting President Agent Orange know how you feel to his face (politely, of course) & then letting that feeling show during the photo op (not smiling, looking away etc...) has more impact than not showing up for the event.

I absolutely never let my personal opinions known but I will make an exception to say something about this one. 1) First of all, the Golden State Warriors, Inc. are an extremely part of a company. That makes each and every one of you, from the President to the janitor, are employed by that company. 2) The company is also very important to the community be it in Oakland, the Bay Area or the United States as a whole. If that person who is currently living at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington D.C. requests that the Golden State Warriors visit him in that residence, I would think that company might accept that request from the President of the United States. If that becomes the case, I believe the Warriors and the majority of there fans are light years above and beyond the political business and accept the invitation. Maybe that's just me. Thank you!
