Would you support a bill that would establish a scholarship program to provide one year free college tuition to students from low-income families?

College participation and credit must be earned for then it is respected and honored. Humans need to be held accountable for their behavior and choices. For example, secondary education: attendance, punctuality, preparedness, and graduation are a few of the important practices for success and productivity in the real world; however, graduation rates and productivity in the real world is halted for many because they have not learned to practice the basics to help succeed in the work force and/or college. These facts already cost taxpayers millions of dollars, not to mention the millions of dollars spent on high school "credit recovery programs". Demonstrate, first, responsibility and basic success before "gifts" are given, regardless of socio-economic background.

Glad to see this poll just shows how big of uncaring, ungrateful a-holes people online really are.

Hope none of you call yourself Christians because real Jesus is rolling over in his grave.

The term "low-income" is what breaks it for me. I feel this would shun hard-working families and individuals who aren't "poor enough" to receive any benefit, making their struggle even harder.
