You can beat the heat with a splash of cold water, but when it's 10 degrees you get so cold that you can't get warm no matter how many layers you put on. I was born and raised in New England where it gets so cold that the pipes freeze and break, the snow gets so deep you can't open the door, and your hands and fingers get so cold you can't even zip up your coat.

Ann hit the nail on the head! There are only so many clothes you can take off and still go out in public. You can always throw on another layer or "another dog on the bed".

You can a layers but even in your birthday suit you can get over heated.

I always said, smack your thumb with a hammer when it's 20 degrees outside or 90 degrees and see which hurts the worst....cold is to the bone! I'll take the heat any day!
