What Mental Compulsions Do You Engage In?
repeatedly rewinding & replaying actions or a conversation
checking for the ability to feel connected to others
counting or creating images and shapes in the mind
scanning the body or the environment
checking to see if the obsessions are still there
replacing a bad thought with a good thought, or a less bad thought
making promises to self
obsessing about obsessing
trying to figure out why a certain thought keeps occurring
checking for intention
using analysis to determine if a thought is real vs. just OCD
repeating the same phrase or word in your mind
mentally going over and over something in hopes of getting certainty
