Hope everyone "adult" knows that I am just a kid and everyone on here sees all the comments. No one is buying votes, no one hacked the system, none of that. Why is it worth your time to rip on kids who get a lot of votes. Everyone on the list is deserving so matter who wins everyone should feel honored. No matter who seems to think so that is the truth and these votes essentially at the end of the day come down to nothing but having a community of people that love you. So good one "adults" keep ripping on the vote getters for having people that care about how hard they worked in life to get to this point, honestly anyone wasting their time dwelling on votes should be embarrassed.

  • Soccer Dad 1 - 6 years ago

Shame on those "mature" adults who pick on the girls getting the most votes. Clearly, you care very much about the results, despite your holier than thou comments. Does this poll reveal who is the best player in NJ?
We ALL know that the answer is no. What, in your mind, would be a fair poll? Anyone who thinks any poll of this nature is anything other than a popularity contest is delusional. In short, get over it "grown ups."

  • I am a bot - 6 years ago

I am a bot. That’s right. My name is Leslie Bot. My mom is also a Bot (Debbie Bot), as is my dad (Dave Bot), my brother (Brad Bot), and my unfortunately-named cousin (Scott Bot). The Bots vote as a block - we are the Bot Block. We, along with our friend, relatives and community all voted, as per the rules and the algorithm, as a Bot Block. Our votes represent the love and support we have for our candidate. We have not seen the other players compete, but have no doubt that they are worthy of this recognition; and also have no doubt that all their friends and loved ones voted for them as many times as they could, without a clue how their candidate fared against the 74 others. But the Bots stand by their Bot Block votes.

  • Also not a bot - 6 years ago

Come on people, it’s all in fun. Keep it positive for the kids. They are all deserving. Nobody has seen them all play enough to truly have an educated vote-so that essentially leaves it to the power of community. No different than when Mom and Dad help sell the Girl Scout cookies. Also stop picking on the top vote getter—there are a few girls with thousands of votes. More than one powerful community at play. And for the record-many of us have thrown many votes to those deserving gals at the bottom as well.

  • Jewels - 6 years ago

For the record, we are supportive adults, not cheating....we are not teaching our children to cheat or win unfairly....we are voting (multiple times, just like everyone else).......we are teaching our children the power of teamwork (isn't that what sports is about?) and what happens when you rally a group of supportive adults, family, friends and teammates together to reach a goal. That being said, if you think someone is truly cheating or whatever voting nonsense you are referring to (is there such a thing as automatic voting? I had no idea), report it to NJ.com, have them check it out, not problem there as our support have been legitimate and by the rules. WE have one goal in mind, to show the power of teamwork and working hard towards a goal that you don't think you may achieve. Why do people assume when someone is winning they are cheating? WE are better than that!

  • Real love, Real votes - 6 years ago

There's no limit to how many votes can be cast so, yes, I've voted again and again, often consecutively. I've watched the tally climb one by one when I'm voting in the middle of the night after nursing my daughter. No bot here, not trying to get close to anyone and not getting paid. For the record, I've also cast many votes for those with very few, as have many of the rest of us. As someone else said, these votes come from a place of love. Regardless of the size and passion of one's network all of these girls are obviously fantastic and deserve recognition. Let's keep it positive.

  • Good job “adults” - 6 years ago

And if you-know-who wins it’s not because she’s actually popular, it’s because sycophants think it’s a way to get close to her mom. What should have been a fun poll for these girls is now a joke. What a “win”

  • Votes - 6 years ago

Let it be known that all the girls with 0 votes were voted on by us as well.
There is no voting bot. Just friends, family as well as teammates, schoolmates and a whole lot of love.

  • Shameful - 6 years ago

It is truly shameful that adults are turning this into something so nasty. If you want a winner based on anything other than public votes, talk to NJ.com about having a panel of judges next year. Don't post your nastiness here - keep in mind that the children listed in this very poll can see these comments, too. People are proud of the players they know, and that is a wonderful thing. There is too much judgement in the world today, and I for one am happy to see scores of folks coming out to support these young women and their achievements, even if my chosen player isn't the "winner." They're all winners already by being chosen - there isn't even a "grand prize," for crying out loud, so the voting is essentially worthless!!

  • Haters Gonna Hate - 6 years ago

Nobody's paying me, and I'm not a bot. But there's no limit on how many times anyone can vote, so I'm gonna vote as many times as possible for my favorite. I didn't make the rules, just playing by them. To those making snarky accusations, I would advise if you care that much, then vote more and whine less.

  • Gross - 6 years ago

I guess it’s obvious who’s mommy is buying her votes.

  • Popularity Contest - 6 years ago

With the assumption that all the girls are of equal skill you must accept this as a popularity contest.
Webster defines as... "A popularity contest is a real or hypothetical contest in which the sole criterion for winning is how many votes one gets, such that the winner is the most liked contestant." No electronics just fans.

  • Relax - 6 years ago

No need for adults to make this ugly. Votes - all of them, regardless of who they are cast for - are coming from a place of love. Let's keep that at the forefront here.

  • Disgrace - 6 years ago

I agree with the earlier comment, something is wrong with the voting. So unfair to the kids who worked hard and earned votes from people who have actually watched them play. Hope hitting young kids it’s worth “winning”. But it won’t be a true win.

  • Soccer lover - 6 years ago

Sorry you think it’s unfair. Not a voting bot. Just a small community that cares.

  • Not fair - 6 years ago

Someone has definitely built a voting bot for the top vote getter. Not fair, we’re talking about freshmen. Some adults need to grow up.is it worth hurting other kids to get one sooooo many votes?

  • Idol Fan - 6 years ago

I have voted twice for Sanjaya but don’t see any of my votes tallied.

  • Karen - 6 years ago

Very unfair to players, to make it is sooooo difficult to vote. Fake Poll.....

  • Cathleen Cahn - 6 years ago

Something is wrong with the site. I have voted three days in a row and the votes only went from 187 to 191. I know other people are voting. It is also impossible to get to the list as it moves erratically.

  • Concerned fan - 6 years ago

Not everyone in the article in on the list

  • Good Poll Bad System - 6 years ago

Definitely electronic voting. With every vote no matter who you vote for the top goes up one.

  • soccer fan - 6 years ago

Good idea for a vote but seems like electronic voting is going on.
