I like the shaded lights for the kitchen the best. But if you’re going to cook, they could get yucky really quickly.

LOVE 'EM all BUT agree with Janet's and Bonnie's comments on the shade - even though I voted for it. I am betting you will have other sources of lighting (track, recessed ??) for when you need to use the island for other chores - such as your magnificent floral arrangements. THANKS for sharing all this!

I love them all but I love the simplicity of #2. I think it’s elegant yet casual. I think it fits the look of the shiplap. BTW my hubby and I just finished an historic cottage restoration in Beaufort, SC. YOu can see pictures on my Instagram @kingstreetcottage. It’s a vacation rental and I think it’s adorable!! We even used some of the same finished that I see in your new home. Best wishes, Dawn Brooker @dawnbrooker

I like the shade fixture the best, but I voted for a different one. As much as you love to cook, arrange flowers and entertaining, the chances of stains on the shade increase. Even with normal kitchen wear and tear, having a fixture that can be easily cleaned it paramount. There is nothing less chic than a dirty white shade.

Since asking for opinions, :)
I feel the shade in Choice 1 is blocking of your beautiful kitchen, and will
feel dated in a few years.
Look forward to seeing which you decide.
Good luck.
