  I went to Lubbock high but I do have to say that Coronado Band is so good! Their sound is amazing and they have the BEST band directors!! Coronado all the way!!!

  With Frenship being the only 6A band they’re competitions have been extreme. They have out performed all Lubbock bands. It’s quite evident whether they win or lose in this vote they are the champions of all Lubbock bands. Their performance every single time is outstanding they are definitely Number 1.

  Being from Hereford I attended the Tascosa vs Frenship football game in Amarillo, TX during the 1/2 time Frenship band dedicated Alleuhia from their show performance to Texas Tech Police Officer Floyd East Jr. it was a very moving performance and they did an excellent job. Very deserving of all their #1 UIL awards.

  I would say Frenship Band ???????? Not only that my son was in their band and while being in High School being able to advance to state twice in the 5A . Then once in the 6A . We went to state three times . Great Band ???? Great Band Instructors????????????

  New Deal is the defending 2A State Champion. This is our 3rd year (2013, 2015 and 2017) We should get it!

  New Deal is also going to state competition in San Antonio for 2nd time and they won state last time in 2A!!

  The main point between Lubbock High and Frenship High is that this was not Frenship's year to advance to the State level because they are a 6A school. Also, Frenship has made it to the State Marching Contest 8 out of the last 10 opportunities.

  LHS is an outstanding band! Congrats and good luck to the Texas State marching contest!!

  However, I wouldn’t be quick to dismiss Frenship High School, the only 6A band in the Area. While Lubbock High is great, Frenship has been just as fantastic as well by winning the Tumbleweed Marching Festival along with placing higher than any Lubbock band in every competition this season. Specifically, in Bands of America when they placed 11th out of the 23 attending.

  I believe that has already been determined , LHS is the only Lubbock band advancing to state in 33 years. So this question is somewhat irrelevant.
