In NYC I made two collage posters, scanned them and sent as email attachments to friends &, family. A very special & meaningful two days for me.

My adopted Zapotec family and I with guests had traditional dinner and later burned copal and said a prayer at the alter. We do this every year.

We met our Mexican friends at the grave of their son who died of leukemia at age 12. Although the holiday is festive, fun and my favorite, waves of sadness and heaviness of heart are also present. Later we went to our plaza in Ajijic to watch the village’s parade and see the other special presentations.
