The Perfect Pear is the only Season 7 episode I've watched, apart from that I've given up the fandom and only watch selected old episodes now. I'll be back if the show ever gets fair... for once.

It's really comparing pears and apples when you pit (ouch, I really didn't intend that one) a two-parter against a bunch of one-parters, no matter how good they are, because you can just pack so much more of everything into twice the available time.

Why is this even a contest, again? We all know which episode is going to win. It's not a big mistery. Nobody expected anything but perfect pear to win.

Wow, this is going to be good. Four really good, very different episodes. Though I am pretty sure I know what episode is going to win. This was a really good season.

The Perfect Pear might honestly be one of the best singular episodes in the show.
It's my personal 3rd favourite episode of the whole show [behind 'Pinkie Pride' and 'Crusaders of the Lost Mark', if you're curious].
But i don't count opener and finale episodes, because those usually are better quality, and almost all of them are 10/10 quality.
If i was counting openers and finale's though, Shadow play would be among the best for sure.
The last half of Season 7 was a complete delight to watch.
