Monsanto should be banned by the U.N. for damage to developing countries. They would patent water if they could . They make money by blackmail, which is illegal.

I've been active in bringing international manufacturing for more than 43 years, I was also a member of Mexico´s Nafta negotiation team as a businessman group called Cuarto de a lado.
For instance in Mexicali we have the oldest maquila registered in Mexico, EEMSA Rockwell Collins, 52 years ago they as other manufacturing plants in Juarez, Nogales, Tijuana and now expanding to interior of Mexico began without Nafta.
When we started the Maquila Program, never expected 52 years later to have a Maquila Nation, we need to increase content with local manufacturing components, must generate a long term plan, although there is a good effort by Ministry of Economy, every six years we loose continuity, we have momentum now but how to go beyond a term of six years.

Whatever it takes to keep these monsters out of Mexico! Keep up the good work! And pass on your spirit and your methods to the fools up north who support this evil business and others like it....

I couldn't agree more with Bliss, Robbie and Elena..they are dead on with there comments!!!
Monsanto has corrupted many politicians in Europe, SouthAmerica, and other continents, to get their poisonous products and harmful procedures approved, it is a miracle Mexico has thumbed its nose at
    Monsanto...way to go Mexico!!!

The hundreds of native corn varieties were bred to reseed themselves, to grow without expensive fertilizers, to adapt to different altitudes and also to grow in wet and dry conditions. Monsanto corn does none of that. Their cross pollination would destroy the native corns and starve ethnic farmers who can't afford expensive corn seed and fertilizers.

Monsanto is one of the worst companies in the world. It has been a major factor in destroying safe food in the USA.

As ex-pats now living in Mexico, we support all of Mexico's efforts to ban this company from operating here.

Monsanto is a business, run by business people (aka making money) who do not care about our world after they individually lead a mega-rich life and then leave their poisonous genetic products to destroy our children.
