As much as I love "Fame and Misfortune" and it's meta humor, I have to agree that "You're in my head like a catchy song" is a good tune to listen to.

Forgot to say that tbh I wish there was more songs but I guess season 6 did have alot and season 5 and EQG had been shooting out bangers like crazy.
I would say rank this season's songs would be
1. Best Friends Until the End of Time
2. Flawless
3. Battle for Sugar Belle
4. Blank Flanks Forever
5. You're in my Head like a Catchy Song
I do enjoy all the songs tho!

This was a hard choice between Flawless and Best Friends Until the End of Time, but went with BFUTEOT because it's super fun to sing and I love doing it in karaoke!

Becauce opinions? Besides, the "telling what's the episode is already telling" part can be chalked up to the Pear Butter's song just as well. Both carry on the general idea behind the episode and both are fun to listen to. The enjoyment factor is quite important factor here.

How on Earth are so many people saying Flawless is anywhere near as good as Catchy Song? They're not even close! Catchy Song works as both a pony and a nonpony ballad, and Flawless is just... the song that reiterates what the episode it's in is already saying. Plus it sounds like it came from a Kidz Bop album.

All of them are nice - some of them are great even. Just moments ago watched "All Bottled up" and even though I have little interest in that episode, the Mane 6 bits always brought smile to my face and "Best Friends Until the end of time" is one fun and cool song, as many songs featuring all the six mares, it's pretty enjoyable to listen to. The one from Perfect Pear is pretty great too, but to me best song this season was definetely "Flawless" - it feels like fantastic summary to those six wonderful characters in already entertaining episode. I can't think of a song for this season I like more. So yeah, definetely voting for "Flawless".

Not only that, but it did sum up one message for the Mane 6: Showing how far their friendship has come a long way since the beginning of the show. :)
Was torn between Flawless and Best Friends Until the End of Time. Went for Best Friends because I like to imagine it's about the friendship groups I've made through MLP.
Unrelated, I make a game of predicting the ranking before I vote - this one I got spot on, although the only part that wasn't easy to guess was, again, Flawless vs. Best Friends.

There was no doubt that "You're in my head like a catchy song" was going to win.
However, i have to say, flawless is the better song. Because it embodies 7 years of pony, not a single episode pandering to the fans and one of the oldest theories.
yes, Perfect Pear was a great episode. Yes, it was the best of the season. No, it wasn't the best on the series. And yes, "You're in my head like a catchy song" is a great song.
But, to be honest, it's not winning on it's own merit. It's winning on the merit of the episode it's in.
Remember how Smile used to be the song of the fandom? Because it encapsuled everything we (supposedly) stood for?
Would it have been the same if it was looked at with the episode it came in? The reason it was as powerful as it ended up being was the fact that it was leaked. So, we could listen to it WITHOUT the context of the (rather bad) episode it came in.

I would have to say...... Best Friends Until the End of Time. Sure it came out of nowhere, but there is one thing that really sends the message of that song:
It shows how far the Mane 6's friendship has come since the beginning of the show :)

So this was a season of songs but I had to go with the Blank Flanks song. I have always loved pop, swing, and jazz mixed into one and with the best VA Vincent Tong singing I can't deny it. I know it is a minority but it is what I feel.
Battle for Sugar Belle was a perfect cringe song and also voiced by Best VA. However, I don't like country or pure pop so not my pick. 4th.
Best Friends Until the End of Time was funny in context and an all around upbeat song and was close with the other songs. Tied for 2nd.
Flawless is from my favorite episode for its portrayal and jokes and I love the song. Tied for 2nd.
You're in my Head Like a Catchy Song was sweet and emotional in the episode but rather short. It also lost its emotion outside of the ep. Ranked 3rd.
