Well I can't STAND the movie. Never have liked it. It took me this long to finally sit down and watch this and I simply LOVED it!! There were little extras in this that aren't in the movie that actually made this more about love & family and less about the winy brat getting a stupid gun. I loved the cast - the little boy did a great job! This was no easy task!! I didn't like the songs at first, but after a while I really loved them (mainly I didn't know it was going to be a musical so I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not. Luckily there was a good balance between acting & singing -- unlike the newest Le Mes). Still can't stand the movie - I will never watch it, but I will happily watch this every Christmas from here on! Guess I'm a minority, but oh well! :)

I like musicals, and I like A Christmas Story, but together, it was horrible. Maybe if I had not seen the original hundreds of times,,,,,,nope, still sucked.... The good reviews above must be by people that were heavily intoxicated,

Good morning had to retype lol...yes the show was amazing!! I grew up with the classic and still love it, watch it every year..omg ???? I remember when I stubbled across this classic show one day and just keep watching it laughing and laughing my mom said what is so funny I SAID THIS THEY DOUBLE DOG DARED HIM TO STICK HIS TONGUE ON THE POLE ???????????????? mind u I was about who know age ten maybe SMH they did an awesome job ????????????????TO THE KIDS MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU WENT LIVE FOR A CLASSIC SHOW WE ALL LOVE THANK YOU!!!

I.missed the first 15 I was really nice the tap dancing and everything was different they did an awesome job and the kids THE KIDS YOU ..DID AND AMAZING JOB 9 WEEKS WOOW MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

I thought it was wonderful!!! Of course everybody enjoys the original however the twist of the musical they added was AMAZING! Very happy with the outcome!!!
