I'm not particularly interested in copyright, intellectual property disagreements or ugly implementations. Those do little to change any particular course I'm on. But I do care about lawsuits that affect how I make decisions. For example, the ERISA related suit in Vermont about contributing data to their APCD. Knowing this early offered an opportunity to participate in the Amicus Brief. Maybe it's about knowing the suits where there is opportunity for public comments in data exchange or analytics.

I'd say it's the nature of the claim's details, but not necessarily the level of drama in them. I'm always interested if the claim resonates with my own observations or experience, and if it seems to be testing some principle.

I was going to vote "Not until the trial starts", but 9 times out of 10 there is a settlement before anything goes to trial. Is it too late to add "Settlement Announced" as a choice, or does that fall under "Court Verdict"?
