Clockwork. Think about it.

If he likes Demon, then so be it! However, his 3 younger sisters surely must be known as minor misdemeanours.

I agree. Why a nickname for a successful person. Does James Packer or Dick Smith have one??
Theyre successful!!
Only a small minded journo with nothing else to write about but seek notoriety for himself would suggest it. He deserves acknowledgment as Alex, the person that he is.

Why should Alex de Minaur have a nickname ?
What is wrong with his real name?
Why are we so insecure in ourselves that we need to drag everybody down to our own miserable level by giving people who succeed some meaningless nickname?
How many top ranked tennis players in the last 50 years have a nickname? One or two, maybe, but very few.
How many top ranked cricket players, AFL players, rugby players, golfers, in the last 50 years have a nickname? One or two, maybe, but very few.
So why pick on Alex?
Is this the highlight of your journalistic career? What about doing some real work on real issues in sport? Drugs and sex scandals in rugby. The failure of the Gold Coast to maintain a successful sporting franchise of any type despite decades of trying. New Zealand beating the rest of the world at almost anything they tackle, despite having a population of about 3 million.
Are you even a real journalist? Or just work experience fill in for the Summer Stupid Period?
Giving successful people a nickname is a very bogan, sub blue collar thing, designed to drag people down.
Leave Alex alone, just praise his successes.
Well done, and good luck, Alex.
