When a poll like this is even necessary it means Nashville's public schools are ineffective at every level of teaching , if discipline is not priority one? With disciplined students, teaching all the basics including respect for fellow students all possible. Discipline is also basics for all higher level of teachings that are taught. Teacher union activists will always stand in the way from this ever occurring and are the ones at the center of fomenting hate taught in our city schools today. Teacher unions are the problem, privatization is the only solution!

Bullying can occur at both public and private schools. Educators need to be more tougher and enforce the zero tolerance bullying. Kids have killed themselves over bullying and enough is enough. Instead of offering another alternative to learning.. Focus on the real problem.. BULLYING!!! For every child that's bullied and they are offered a private school education.. Wouldn't private schools be overly crowded???

    Bullies are everywhere.
No matter the school, it is still a representation of society...good and bad.
It'd be better to use the funding on more councilors whose sole purpose is the students' emotional well-being, and not scholarship bragging-rights.

The child being bullied is not normally the problem. Moving them to another school will not solve the problem. Kids can be very cruel, a concentrated effort on the part of teachers and administrators to stress more love and acceptance regardless of appearance or ethnic background can go a long ways in solving this problem. We have too much hate in our society today.

do you really think that sending kids to a private school will stop bullies. you can just as easily be bullied at a private school as in a normal school if not more because you are going to a school mostly full of rich kids that think they are better then you.

no this comes down to the teachers and parents. they need to reprimand the kids that are doing it to kids and its not even always kids sometimes it teachers people with power. take it from someone that was bullied in school. I was bullied by teachers and kids
