The problem is BIG Pharma is linked to the Federal bureaucracy- they want to control it all for the profit. As for Drug laws they only serve to expand the total state over US, they certainly do not serve any reasonable or good purpose, Pot smokers are everywhere, yes some to excess but same is true with alcohol and prescription drugs too, only difference is the death toll from all the above is epidemic EXCEPT for pot which is NOT addictive at all, and no matter how much you smoke it will not kill you!

Well speaking as an individual who has found peace in Allah, peace be upon him. It is clear that due to it negative effects on the hippocampus, it is not condoned in Islam.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verses 90-91:
90 O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination of the Shaytaan's handiwork.
This is my belief in regards to its recreational use. In regards to its medicinal usage, if given by a trustworthy physician and is to be used accordingly for strict medicinal purposes I find nothing wrong with it, nor do I find anything in the Holy Quran. I would caution, however, that the legalization of this (even for medicinal purposes) is more to do with what Joesixpiack is stating and the desire of people to “get high.” For that reason, I am opposed.

Josixpac, you have no idea what your talking about..it does help there's studies done for crying out loud. My son gets it twice daily, he is severe epilepsy(lennix gastaut syndrome. Before you comment on something do your research and actually know what your talking about!!

I believe that scientific evidence has shown that cannabis oil is quite safe (a lethal dose would require consuming several hundred pounds in 15 minutes, which is physically impossible).
That said, taking a poll on whether cannabis oil is safe makes as much sense as taking a poll on whether 2+2 = 4. Science isn't a democracy, and doesn't care about your vote. Sorry, but that's how it is.

JoSixPak, that not what this is about. You have the completely wrong opinion of what this bill is trying to solve. States with legal medical marijuana have found lower rates of both drinking and narcotic substances being taken by patients. Not just 5-10%, but rather 25-67% reductions in use. Good try though.
