What do you think of the UK "Secretariat" checkerboard pattern in its uniforms?

People have no appreciation for history. The Secretariat story is one of the greatest in all of sport. The facts can and often do fall in favor of ignorance. Secretariat's association with our Commonwealth should be celebrated proudly.

Secretariat has nothing to do with Kentucky. He won one race in the entire state, the Kentucky Derby. He was foaled in Virginia, then retired in Kentucky. We have been wearing the checkerboards as an homage to the greatest race horse ever to win the Kentucky Derby even though he is not from here. These checkerboard patterns were introduced to the basketball team during the Billy Gillispie era. We need to disassociate everything from his reign and move on. It is time to END the checkerboards!!! I would like to see the jerseys from the 2014 team with the shorts from the 2002 team with Kentucky across the back. I would also like to see a throwback (for one game) of the denims!! We did win a championship in those bad boys!

The checkerboard makes the uniforms instantly recognizable as University of Kentucky athletics. Secretariat spent most of his life in Kentucky and as one of its most celebrated citizens, honoring him with the checkerboard uniform highlight is most appropriate.
