How Much Do You Know About John Trumbull's 'Declaration of Independence'?

The Declaration of Independence is the most famous of John Trumbull’s four huge historical paintings selected in 1826 to hang in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol. There it’s titled, “Congress at the Independence Hall, Philadelphia, July 4, 1776”—but that’s technically wrong on two counts. Independence Hall was still called the Pennsylvania State House back then, plus the actual vote on independence took place on July 2, not July 4! (Believe it or not, historians think that no one even signed the Declaration until early August.)
