Should 'Two and a Half Men' live on without Charlie Sheen?

I never watched the show until last week, and charlie is awsome. He is very smart and people who don't have open minds can converse with him. I would like to have a conversation with the guy, he is intelligent and eccentric in a good way. The producer started with the fight of words first, so Charlie is WINNING!

I honestly do not think Charlie would be missed if they continued the show without him. (Jake wouldn't be missed much either, for that matter --- sorry, Angus, that deadpan, dumber-than-dirt thing don't do it for me.) Alan, Berta, Rose, Evelyn, even Judith and Herb are just so darned funny that the show could continue or spin off without a problem. There are only so many drunken scenes with ho's that one can take and I think enough of that is enough.

A wonderfully tragic ending for Charlie would be his just reward; a horrific STD would be in order . Or even better --- how about casting Emilio Estevez as a new character!!

I would love to see Keith Carradine as Charlie's uncle who stays at the beach house and handles his affairs while Charlie is in REHAB forever! Keith did a great job as Penny's father on Big Bang Theory.

I like this show and always have... I really believe the show could continue with another actor playing Charlie (no one said it had to be Charlie Shene; although he was good playing this part); but some one else could do just as good of job, I think. Its the part of "Charlie" that made the show (not the actor). And lets face it, the supporting cast are the best! Please keep this show on the air.

How about considering TIM DALY for the role. He was funny and great in WINGS ... and is a great actor. I can see him doing a super job in Charlie's place. Loved WINGS. Another good choice would be STEVEN WEBER , who also starred in WINGS. Both actors are wonderful choices. Think about it.

Charlie, I will pray for. He has so much talent and sadly abused himself .

Its simple.... Charlies character goes to rehab after a DUI type thing and the show carries on with some new twists and turns.... If Charlie gets his dumb ass back together then his character can re-enter the show..... If not, the writer's skill and the audience's tastes will determine the shows direction.

Charlie is extinct. It's time for a fresh face. The cast is superb and can carry the show with or without Sheen. He's in a very sad place right now. I pray he survives this ordeal. But, 2 and a Half Men is a very strong show and can survive without him.

Hogwash! Of course the show could carry on without Charlie Sheen. EVERYONE is replaceable. This show has a wonderfully talented cast who all contribute to the show's success. Jon Cryer is phenomenal, as good if not better than Charlie Sheen. The writers are also excellent. I'm sure that they could come up with a plausible and very funny soultion to the problem at hand. Bye,bye Charlie.

To me, Alan makes that show. He's much funnier than Charlie. I laugh at Jake's antics and the housekeeper is fun too. Also Herb comes up with some great lines or just a look. After seeing Charlie Sheen's weird behavior and dramatics, I don't think I would enjoy seeing him on the show anymore.

They should replace Sheen, but there is a catch: it must be a higher profile actor. I was thinking Clooney (a girl can dream). They should offer him 5 million per episode and rock this show - the other actors are so good, John Cryer, Angus T. Jones and specially the ladies!

What comes to mind here is how Cheers managed to survive the loss of Shelley Long and replacement with Kirstie Alley. It gave the show a complete jump-start. With the right person, Two and a Half Men can survive. I just hope they don't replace Sheen with another character like his. They need to do a complete turn-around with an entirely different type of character. (ie: going from Diane to Rebecca in Cheers) I wonder if a female character might be a good idea...

Charlie Sheen was a wonderful actor at one time. The operative word being once. He has been worn out, sick and tired looking and acting for a long time. The show is not the Charlie Sheen Show. There are very many wonderful actors and actresses that star on this show or make guest appearances.

Life goes on. If the character of Charlie Harper is that essential to the show for some people, just cast someone else to take his place. It shouldn't be that hard to fill the position of rich, womanizing drunk.

After his crazy acts and Goddesses! I can't stand his face anymore. I used to watch 2 1/2 men re-runs over and over and enjoy it but now I hate it. He is a disgrace as a man,an actor and a father.

The first few years of the show were really funny - it hasn't been good for awhile.
