I disagree that thinning should occur. This would impact the Bakers' enjoyment of a pristine pine there many years before the spoiled brat Olerud built his home. I deeply hope the decision is with the Bakers all the way and that Olerud moves his intrusive nature of a self to live elsewhere.

Perhaps a good compromise would be for Mr. Olerud to pay to have the tree "wind sailed". The tree would still be there, but thinned out enough to improve his view.
